Brief History and Background

Office for Resource Generation is former the office of Business Affairs and Income Generating Project in later years. On the year 2005 the office was Business Affairs and it was under the directorship of Dr. Allan Erico under the supervision of the later president Dr. Edgardo Ignacio. Dr. Allan Erico lasted until 2009, and it was followed by Dr. Esamel Paluga for a couple of months and it was transferred to Ms. Conception Lascuna, the MAA Director in the later months of the year 2009. On the year 2010 the office was renamed and it was now the Office for Resource Generation ( ORG) which is the Director was Dr. Danilo A. Ga-as, the former dean of CASNR. Dr. Ga-as assumed the office on April 15, 2010 until this present time.

ORG is an office that caters all purely business activities/ projects/ programs engaged in by the university. The main function of this office is to generate another means of  income  and enhance the financial capability of the university. It also establishes linkages with the government and private organizations to further enhance the various business activities or affairs of the University.

Mandate

• Strengthen instruction , research and extension function, as IGP’s provide facilities and technologies necessary for the development of the skills among students, researchers, expansionists, entrepreneurs, and other interested individuals.
• Generate additional; income for the school to enable flexibility in financial management and attain fiscal autonomy.
• Provide model projects that students may replicate after graduation.
• Responsible for the over-all supervision of all purely business activities/ projects/programs engaged in by the university.
• Coordinate with the different Colleges on the operation of the Instruction related Income Generating Projects.
• Evaluate and assess business project proposals.
• Conduct activities that would further sustain the viability of the IGPs of the university (market matching, progress review, sales forecast, et al).
• Supervise all Income Generating Project and oversee;
• Prepare reports on the performance of the Office for Resource Generation (ORG) to the University President and to the Board of Regents;
