About the ICT Center

The Information and Communications Technology Center (ICT) Center is tasked by the University to provide the Information and Communications Technology infrastructure of both the Main and the Cabadbaran Campus. The Center houses application programmers and developers whose primary tasks is to develop applications software as well as web-based solutions for the students, the administration, and for the decision makers.
The Center is also in-charge of the network structure of the Institute, the intranet campus connectivity as well as connectivity to the world wide web or the Internet. As the Center for ICT solutions of the Caraga State University, we are advocates towards the productive and efficient use of ICT as well as of cutting-edge technologies for the attainment of the Mission and Vision of the University.
The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Center is headed by a Director designated by the President of the University.
Duties and Functions. The Director of ICT performs the following functions:
- To plan, organize, manage and control the different sections of the Center;
- To coordinate directly with the user departments regarding the system project to be developed, maintained and enhanced;
- To assess work performance and recommends action to the President;
- To analyze resource utilization and initiate programs for improvements;
- To evaluate jobs for guidance and assignment;
- To submit plans, programs and center accomplishment reports to the Office of the President;
- To perform such other functions as may be directed by the State College President.
