The University is accredited by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP) as well as the Commission of Higher Education (CHED). The Caraga State University is now:
- Level II Accredited in Elementary and Secondary Education Programs, Agricultural Technology and Agri-Business Management, Animal Production Technology and Farm Mechanization
- Level I in Environmental Science, Biology, Information Technology, Computer Science and Geodetic Engineering Programs
- Candidate Status in Agriculture, Forestry, Agricultural Engineering, Electronics Engineering and Mathematics
- A delivering institution of CHED-HEDP-FDP for MS Math
- A Center of Development (COD) status for the BS Mathematics Program
In compliance to E.O. #358 - Institutionalizing a Ladderized Interface between Technical Vocational Educational and Training (TVET) and Higher Education (HE), the College of Engineering and Information Technology applied its various programs to the different TESDA competencies in an embedded mode. In this ladderization mode, the courses of the program may not be overhauled according to the usual TESDA mode.

Inscribed in this curriculum are three Training Regulations (TR) from TESDA namely Computer Hardware Servicing (NC II) on the second year and, Programming (NC IV) on the third year. Each TR corresponds to one (1) diploma from TESDA after completion. The fourth year concludes the entire course and the graduate receives a diploma for the whole program from CHED.
